Pastor Corey Moore is our 2011-2012 pastoral intern. He is in his last year of MDiv studies at Fuller Theological Seminary (Southwest) and works full-time for South Mountain Community College, helping high school students who have never had someone in their family attend college, make the transition into higher education. Corey served as a solo pastor for five years before and during seminary studies. He has a heart for Christian formation and discipleship. Xuefen Mei grew up in Mainland China. Brad and Cheryl met her when she was living on Guam. In the fall of 2010 Mei did an internship at MasterPiece as a part of the BA in biblical studies program at Pacific Islands University. She graduated as valedictorian in May 2011 and has returned to serve as the outreach coordinator and business administrator. Mei also has a degree in accounting. Eric and Karyn Sorenson, like Brad and Cheryl, have been Covenant Missionaries serving at Pacific Islands University on Guam. Eric recently took a position as a pastor in a Covenant church in Santa Barbara, California. Karyn, who is a marriage and family therapist, continues to serve Micronesians as a Covenant missionary, teaching distance education classes from Santa Barbara and counseling students and staff via Skype. She also travels regularly to Micronesia. Follow them through their blog, Musings from Micronesia. Her work helps extend the ministry of our congregation into the Micronesian communities.
